This is the latest technology developed by IllyCaffè to offer a high-quality espresso, characterised by a rich and persistent crema and a particularly intense aromatic profile.
The Illy X3 coffee machine was developed to make the most of the potential of the X Caps system, an exclusive technology that combines next-generation capsules with innovative Hyperinfusion extraction. Thanks to this system, water passes through the coffee at the ideal pressure, promoting uniform extraction of the aromas and ensuring a full-bodied, balanced espresso with a particularly dense crema.
Designed by architect and designer Luca Trazzi, the Illy X-3 stands out for its essential and contemporary style, which easily integrates into any domestic or professional environment. The practical integrated capsule holder and cup-raising support make everyday use simple and intuitive, while the glossy finishes and white and black colours further enhance its aesthetics.
The X-3 espresso machine uses exclusively the Illy Xcaps system. For this reason, it can only operate with original Illy capsules developed for the new system. At present, compatible capsules produced by other brands are not yet available.
X-Caps capsules feature a distinctive rounded shape reminiscent of a small flying saucer and are made of 85% recycled aluminium, a material chosen to best protect the freshness and aromas of the coffee until the moment of dispensing.
The X Caps capsule range offers different varieties designed to satisfy different tastes and needs. The Classico blend offers a smooth and balanced espresso, with delicate nuances of caramel, orange blossom and jasmine. Those who prefer a more intense taste can choose the Intenso variety, characterised by greater aromatic structure and pleasant notes of cocoa and dried fruit. For those who wish to enjoy coffee without caffeine, the Decaffeinato is available, maintaining a rich and harmonious aromatic profile with hints of caramel, chocolate and toasted bread. Classico Lungo is instead designed for those who love a larger cup, while preserving all the delicacy and balance of the Classico blend. Completing the range is Forte, the most intense blend in the collection, with a bold taste, aromas of toasted bread and a persistent dark chocolate finish.
All X-Caps system capsules are made with carefully selected 100% Arabica blends and are designed to work in perfect synergy with Hyperinfusion technology, offering an espresso with an intense aroma and a compact, persistent crema.
